For every NP or PA student matched with one of your preceptors, your facility earns $1,000+ per rotation. You set your own rate, with the standard $1,000 flat fee covering any single rotation. You may also choose a higher flat fee or an hourly rate, and decide whether payment is made to your facility or directly to the preceptor.

How we vet students before they reach you

The standard honorarium is $1,000 per rotation. You set your own rate: the standard flat fee, a higher flat fee, or an hourly rate. You also choose whether we pay the honorarium to your facility or directly to the preceptor. There’s also a $100 affiliate bonus per rotation for any student you refer to us, paid regardless of which facility ultimately matches them.
They’re two separate payments for two different things, and they can stack on the same student.
The honorarium ($1,000+ per rotation) is what you earn for precepting. When a Clinical Match Me student rotates at your facility, your facility receives the honorarium. It pays for hosting the clinical training.
The affiliate commission ($100 per rotation) is what you earn for referring a student to Clinical Match Me. You get the commission no matter where that student ends up rotating, including at a different facility in our network. It pays for the referral, not the training.
So if you refer a student and they end up rotating at your facility, you earn both: the $100 commission for the referral plus the $1,000+ honorarium for hosting. If they rotate at another facility, you earn just the $100 commission. If a student arrives at your facility through a different source and we match them to you, you earn just the honorarium.
Your facility decides at signup, and you can change it any time. Most multi-provider practices route the honorarium centrally and compensate their preceptors internally however they choose. Smaller practices sometimes prefer to have us pay the precepting provider directly. Both work.

Honorariums settle after the student starts their rotation. Payouts go out monthly via ACH direct deposit or printed check. Your choice. Same schedule applies to any affiliate-bonus earnings on referred students.
We do. Affiliation agreements are typically the most paperwork-intensive part of student placement. We manage the back-and-forth between your facility and the school. We work with each school’s existing template and requirements rather than imposing our own.
No. You review each match and accept or decline. You set your annual volume up front, but every individual placement is your call. If a student isn’t the right fit for your providers’ specialty or schedule, decline and we’ll re-match them.
Before a student reaches you, we’ve verified their enrollment in good standing with their school, confirmed active malpractice coverage, completed the school’s affiliation paperwork on your facility’s behalf, and matched the student’s clinical objectives against your specialty mix.
Rotations typically run 8 to 12 weeks of part-time clinical training, with the exact hour requirement set by the student’s school program. Some specialties run longer. You set the weekly hours you can support.
Yes. You can accept students from any school, restrict to specific schools you’ve worked with before, or maintain an exclusion list of schools whose paperwork has been difficult historically. Configurable at signup and at any point afterward.
Talk to us. If a student isn’t meeting expectations, we work with you and the school to address it, whether that’s coaching, a documented improvement plan, or termination of the rotation. You’re never trapped in a placement that’s failing.
No. Partnering with us doesn’t restrict you from working with other schools or matching services. Most of our partner facilities use us alongside their direct school relationships.
The simplest approach is the affiliate link. You add it to your website’s contact page inside a short section about precepting, so when students visit your contact page looking for preceptor opportunities, they see that section and click through to us.
To get the affiliate link, you’ll need to enroll in our affiliate program separately. Log into your facility account, click the Affiliate Program link, and we’ll generate your personalized referral URL.
Alternatively, you can refer students by email or phone, by forwarding their inquiry to a dedicated intake address we provide or directing them to call us.
Either way, the student lands with us, we handle the workflow, and you earn the $100 affiliate bonus on every rotation they complete. This is separate from and in addition to the $1,000+ honorarium if we place the student into your facility.
