Who the student referral program is for
If you're a student, preceptor or facility already working with Clinical Match Me, you can refer the people you know.
Students
You know first-hand how stressful finding a preceptor is, so refer a nursing student in your cohort who's still searching. You earn $100, and they receive a $100 discount on their NP preceptor cost.
Preceptors
Send your students to us instead of taking them on directly. We handle the vetting, the school paperwork and the payments, so you can skip the admin. For each student you refer, you'll earn the $100 referral commission, and if you precept them, your honorarium too.
Facilities
Route the students who contact your practice to us instead of fielding placement requests at the front desk. We take over the communication, the vetting and the school paperwork. You earn $100 per referred rotation and they receive a $100 discount.

Join and get your link
Fill in a short form and tell us where to send your payouts. We approve most accounts within a business day and send you your personal referral link.
Share it with someone who needs it
Text it to a classmate, post it in a group chat, or send it to a student who asks you about precepting. The link tracks them for 90 days.
You earn $100 and they receive a $100 discount
When they start their first rotation, the $100 discount is already on their invoice, and we pay your $100 reward at the next monthly payout.
The referral discount is a member perk. To pass the $100 on to someone you refer, you need to be active with us. You still earn your own $100 reward either way.

Common student referral program questions
Who can join the referral program?+−
The referral program is only for Clinical Match Me students, the clinicians who become a preceptor with us, and the practices that become a clinical rotation site for NP and PA students. It's how we thank the people already working with us for bringing in someone they know.
If you want to promote Clinical Match Me to a wider audience as a creator or partner, our healthcare affiliate program for creators is the one you want instead.
How does the $100 referral discount work?+−
When someone signs up through your referral link and accepts a preceptor offer, we automatically apply a $100 discount to their first rotation invoice.
The discount is reserved for students referred by active members. It applies if you're a student who has contracted at least one rotation, an active preceptor, or a facility that partners with us. You still earn your own $100 reward either way.
The discount applies to their first rotation. Later rotations are at the regular price.
How much do I earn?+−
$100 per rotation. You earn it once the person you referred starts their rotation, not when they sign up or get matched.
If they start more rotations with us later, you earn another $100 on each one. Same person, same link.

We pay your referral commissions monthly by ACH or PayPal.
I'm a preceptor or a facility. How do I refer?+−
Send us all of your students, not only the ones you can't take. Instead of accepting students directly and handling the vetting, the school affiliation paperwork and the payments yourself, refer them with your link and we take care of all of it. For each student you refer, you'll earn the $100 referral commission, and if you precept them, your honorarium too.
For a facility, route every student who contacts your practice to us instead of fielding placement requests at the front desk. You earn the $100 on every rotation they start, including the ones matched to another facility in our network. Either way, the student you refer receives a $100 discount on their first rotation.
What counts as a referral?+−
Anyone who signs up through your referral link. The link tracks them for 90 days from their first click, so they still count even if they take a while to sign up.
Once they sign up they're tied to you permanently. Every rotation they ever start with us earns you $100, and their first rotation carries the $100 discount.
What if they sign up but never start a rotation?+−
You earn $100 when they start their rotation. If they sign up but never get matched, or get matched and then back out, neither the reward nor the discount applies.
They stay tied to your link though. If they come back later and start a rotation, the $100 reward and the $100 first-rotation discount both apply then.
Can I customize my link?+−
Yes. Set your link to your own name from your dashboard so it reads ?ref=yourname instead of a random number. Easier to share and easier to read out loud.
