How we vet NP preceptors
Every clinician in our network clears these checks, and your program still approves every preceptor.
License verification
We verify an active, unencumbered license in the state where the rotation happens, and we re-check it as licenses come up for renewal.
Malpractice coverage
We confirm current malpractice coverage before a preceptor can send an offer, so your student walks into a covered practice.

Common NP preceptor placement questions
What does it cost the school?+−
That depends on the model you choose. The default is pure referral: free to your school, and students pay our service fee directly. Two paid options go further: outsourced NP preceptor placement, where you pay us per placement, or school-subsidized fees, where your school covers all or part of the student fee. Many schools start with the default and look at the paid options later.
Do we need a formal partnership, or can we just refer students?+−
Either works. Many programs we work with refer students once their own preceptor network is exhausted, with no formal partnership in place. A smaller number sign a Memorandum of Understanding for cleaner administrative tracking. Whichever suits your school's policies.
What does the student pay?+−
Most preceptors charge a flat rate of $1,995 for rotations up to 250 hours, and a smaller group offer hourly rates. Students can spread the NP preceptor cost with payment plans up to 24 months, and they pay nothing until they accept an offer.
How do affiliation agreements work?+−
We use your school's existing affiliation agreement template and route it through your normal approval workflow. We coordinate with the preceptor's facility and handle the back-and-forth for you. You keep your own paperwork standards.
How are preceptors vetted?+−
Every preceptor in our network is licensed, malpractice-insured, and verified for specialty alignment. Your program keeps final approval authority, so the preceptor still has to clear your school's own standards before the rotation is confirmed.
How long does it take to place a student?+−
Many students receive their first preceptor offer within 24 hours of registering, and most are matched within a few days to a couple of weeks. After that, the start date depends on your schedule and how fast your school approves the affiliation agreement.
What reporting do we get on our students?+−
You get visibility into every referred student: which preceptor they're matched with, where they're rotating, when the rotation runs, and the stage they're at. Available on demand or as a regular report on whatever cadence you prefer.
Do you handle clinical placement for nurse practitioner students in hard-to-place specialties like PMHNP?+−
That's where we're deepest. PMHNP, pediatrics, women's health and AGACNP are the specialties many schools struggle with, and they're the ones we've invested most in over the last decade.
What if our student needs a placement in a specific city or state?+−
Students choose the states they're willing to travel to, or enter their zip code and how far they're willing to travel. Our network spans all 50 states, with deeper supply in metro areas. We only offer placements inside the geography a student specifies.
What happens if a rotation isn't working out?+−
We work with you and the preceptor to sort it out. If the student needs a remediation plan or a new placement, we manage that, and our Money Back Guarantee still applies.
Do you work with PA programs too, or only NP programs?+−
Both. We work with NP programs across FNP, PMHNP, AGPCNP, AGACNP, Pediatric NP, WHNP, DNP, APRN and Midwifery, and with Physician Assistant programs. The matching works the same way for either.
