About Clinical Match Me
Clinical Match Me is a preceptor placement service for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students. Since 2014, we've helped more than 10,000 students from all 50 states find clinical preceptors in every specialty. We're based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Founded by a nurse practitioner student
Since 2014
Clinical Match Me was founded in 2014 by a nurse practitioner student who almost didn't graduate on time because he couldn't find a preceptor. After experiencing the stress, uncertainty and lost time firsthand, he created the preceptor placement service he wished had existed.
Many NP and PA programs ask students to arrange their own clinical rotations. Clinical Match Me gives those students a structured way to find a qualified preceptor, and gives clinicians a way to precept students and receive an honorarium for teaching.
How Clinical Match Me works
If a school rejects a preceptor for any reason, or a preceptor cancels, the student chooses either a full refund or a new preceptor at no extra cost, under our Money Back Guarantee.

Students submit placement requests
Each request lists the student's specialty, rotation dates, required hours and where they can travel.

Preceptors send offers
Preceptors review placement requests and send offers to the students they'd like to precept. Preceptors decide which students they take, and students decide which offer to accept.

We verify and coordinate
We verify preceptor credentials before matching. When a school requires an affiliation agreement, we handle it using the school's existing template.

The rotation starts
Students pay us once they accept an offer, and we pay the preceptor's honorarium when the rotation starts.
Who we work with
Students
NP and PA students in every specialty, as well as other APRN students. Students sign up free and pay nothing until they accept an offer.
Preceptors and facilities
Nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians precept students through us and earn a $1,000+ honorarium per rotation. Facilities decide whether we pay the practice or the precepting provider.
Schools
Schools refer students their own clinical network can't place. There's no cost to the school, and students pay us directly.
