A preceptor job with Clinical Match Me is paid mentoring inside your current practice. A student joins you during your normal patient visits, watches how you work at first, then takes histories, examines patients and presents cases to you under your supervision.

How much preceptor jobs pay
Every matched NP or PA rotation pays $1,000 or more.
Keep the standard $1,000 flat fee, set a higher flat fee, or charge your own hourly rate. We pay your honorarium as soon as the rotation starts.

Do I need to leave my current job?+−
No. You precept inside your existing practice, during your normal patient visits. We don't employ you, so you won't have a W-2 or a second boss.
How much time does precepting take?+−
Most NP students need 3 to 4 days a week over one semester, and you choose the days. Early on the student mostly observes. Within a few weeks they're taking histories, examining patients and presenting cases to you.
Do I have to accept every request?+−
No. You decide which students to send offers to and how many to take.
Can I keep precepting my own students?+−
Yes. It's non-exclusive, so you can take students from your own sources along with ours.
Why is it so hard for NP students to find a preceptor?+−
Many NP programs ask students to find their own preceptors. Many clinicians don't get paid to precept, so they turn students away. That's why students come to us, and why your time as a preceptor is worth paying for.
Can a whole practice sign up?+−
Yes. If several of your providers want to precept, your practice can become a clinical rotation site for NP and PA students instead.
